Projects
Welcome to the Projects Section of our website.
As a community based Housing Association, we firmly believe that housing and community development must go hand in hand for the benefit of our tenants, the wider community and the Association itself.
We aim to deliver a good mix of social rented properties and low cost home ownership, ensuring properties are maintained at affordable rent levels. New homes are provided for general needs, families, older people and people with particular needs, such as wheelchair standard housing.
In our development work, we adopt an inclusive approach. This is based on control of the regeneration process as well as the subsequent management and the maintenance of properties, resting with the local people.
Our track record of delivering a quality service to the local community is founded on the principle of the regeneration of whole communities. Full resident participation and shareholding membership is encouraged from residents of the community in which we work. Our efforts in this area have been acknowledged through high levels of customer satisfaction. In addition to our close working relationship with local people, we work hand in hand to achieve our shared goals, with our principle partner Glasgow City Council.
Based on our wide experience in this field, our approach invariably consists of establishing a rapport with local people and their community representatives. This approach does not simply focus on the physical construction of new houses, but seeks to demonstrate best practice in the delivery of key wider benefits to the community.
As a consequence, the preferred approach may well be innovative and may not necessarily be the lowest cost route, but it will have been adopted to achieve the best value for the community as a whole.
The function of our Projects Department is:
- Procurement of land and building contracts
- Regeneration projects / major refurbishment
- Research & Development – e.g. Sustainability, new forms of tenure
